SCHOOL SCHEDULE

Childrens Learning Center is open Monday through Friday at 5:30 a.m. to 6:15 p.m. A $1.00 charge is assessed for each minute after closing that a child is picked up late. Please make sure that you have emergency arrangements for someone to pick up your child on time daily. While breakfast is not prepared, our staff will set up and serve the breakfast your child brings from home, that does not require cooking.
We are happy to provide milk as necessary. Breakfast is from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. only.
Any child under age 5, in addition to being signed in, must be accepted by a care giver before the parent or guardian leaves the center.
All children, to age 6, are required to take a rest from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. daily. While not required to sleep, we do ask them to lay quietly or participate in some quiet activity.
Lunch menus are posted in our front office. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. for younger students, and 12:00 p.m. for older students.
Due to staff scheduling and meal planning, please notify us by 8:30 a.m. if your child will not be present for the day.
You will be notified of any field trips.
Parents of children involved in the "After-School Summer Program" will have a calendar of field trips and must notify Childrens Learning Center if their child is able to participate daily.

SAMPLE SCHEDULE

The following is a general outline of a typical day for your child here at Childrens Learning Center. However, a more specific schedule can be outlined from your child's instructor. In addition, each classroom has, for your convenience, posted schedule and lesson plans.

MORNING
5:30 - 8:00 a.m.	Breakfast
8:00	Attendance
8:30	Circle time (areas of special interest are discussed with
	children at this time, i.e., safety rules, weather, sharing)
8:45 - 9:30	Academics (programs are geared to each age level)
9:00	Snack time / Break
9:30 - 11:30	Curriculum
	Recess (outside play time)
	Academic Activities/ Swimming

AFTERNOON
11:30	Lunchtime / Restroom Break
12:00 - 2:30	Nap time
2:30	Recess (Outside play time)
3:00	Snack time
3:30	Art Project (may also include story time and/or music time - teacher's choice)
4:30	Free Play ( indoor play time- use of blocks, toys, puzzles, etc.)

6:15	Closing

NOTE: Rainy weather sometimes interrupts recess schedule.
Indoor organized game play is then substituted.
